Veterans Transition Network
This is a program developed by a UBC Psychologist offering programs to help vets with mental health issues especially PTSD. There are weekend programs and 5 day retreats, for veterans of any age. Courses are free for participants, fees covered by donations.
The Veterans Transition Network is the only Canadian charity delivering mental health services specifically for Veterans from coast to coast.
Veterans Emergency Transition Services
VETS Canada has evolved from mostly assisting homeless veterans to also providing support to those facing difficulties of any kind. That could mean the inability to afford groceries or a power bill, or an emotional or mental health crisis, VETS Canada provides much needed support to veterans across the country.
This movement has grown into a federally registered non-profit charity with hundreds of dedicated volunteers across the country, most of whom are ex-military/RCMP.
Veterans Voices of Canada
To honour our past and present Veterans through on camera historical documentation, tributes and educational displays throughout the year. This incudes a History interest and Learning Centre, or “Micro Museum”.
Support Our Troops
Established in 2007, Support Our Troops meets the unique needs and special challenges faced by members of the Canadian Armed Forces community as a result of military service. It operates within Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services.
Wounded Warriors
Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) is a nationally-recognized mental health service provider dedicated to serving ill and injured Trauma Exposed Professionals (TExPs) and their families in both official languages.
Helmets to Hardhats
Helmets to Hardhats (H2H) Canada is a registered non-profit organization providing opportunities in the unionized construction industry for serving, transitioning and former military members. H2H works with the community of Building Trades Unions and Employers to ensure registrants receive only the best industry wages, benefits and pension plans. H2H is recognized as a leading service provider by Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans Affairs Canada, and Canada's 14 Building Trade Unions along with leading industry Business Owners.
The Rolling Barrage
This is a yearly coast to coast motorcycle ride across Canada to raise awareness and funds for vets and first responders with PTSD and mental health issues.
